We recently marked a proud and emotional milestone at Northview International School — the promotion of our very first Grade 8 class to high school. This celebration was more than just a ceremony; it was a reflection of how far our students have come and how bright their futures are.
Held on campus, the promotion event brought together students, staff, and families to honor a class that has grown into confident, capable young leaders. From heartfelt speeches to musical performances and thoughtful reflections, the occasion was marked by joy, gratitude, and a profound sense of accomplishment. For many in the room, this was a moment of full-circle realization. These students were among the first to walk through our doors, and now they’re ready to step into Grade 9, carrying with them the values, friendships, and skills they’ve developed during their time in Middle School.
We’re incredibly proud of their achievements, both academic and personal. Throughout the year, our Grade 8 learners have demonstrated resilience, curiosity, and leadership — qualities we know will serve them well as they take on new challenges in high school. A special thank you goes out to our teaching team and parents, whose support and encouragement made this journey possible. Your commitment has helped shape a class of young people who are ready to take the next step with confidence and purpose.
As we look ahead to August, we’re excited to welcome this pioneering group to high school and continue guiding them as they grow into tomorrow’s innovators, creators, and changemakers.
Congratulations, Grade 8. You’ve made history. And this is just the beginning.

My experience in teaching began 15 years ago in the UK, where I started as a teaching assistant supporting children and young adults with autism. It was a role that was incredibly rewarding, but ultimately, my goal was to be a class teacher. After qualifying, I worked in various schools in the UK before moving to Qatar in 2017, a move which is the best decision I have made. I have loved learning about the local culture here and teaching in an international environment, allowing me to interact with children and adults worldwide.
Joining the team at Northview has been the most exciting move in my career, as we have been able to design a curriculum and ethos that places the children’s holistic development at the heart of everything we do. We want to support our pupils to grow academically and, at the same time, grow into friendly, responsible people with the necessary skills to succeed.
I strongly believe in promoting a healthy lifestyle; therefore, in my spare time, I often compete in many of the organized 10k or 21k races around Qatar. The positive effects, both physically and mentally, are fantastic. I am also a keen cook and find preparing and cooking meals from scratch incredibly therapeutic.
I cannot wait to begin welcoming children and families through the door at Northview and seeing the difference we will make in our pupils’ lives.
Come to Northview and see for yourself how we are making a difference.
