A Day in Elementary School
The school day balances focused academic instruction with creative exploration, physical activity, and social development.
Morning
Students begin with a morning meeting where they connect as a class, share news, practice social-emotional skills, and preview the day ahead. Core academic lessons in literacy and mathematics follow, with hands-on activities and small group instruction.
Midday
Science and social studies are taught through inquiry-based projects that connect to real-world contexts. Students engage in experiments, research, and collaborative problem-solving.
Afternoon
Creative and physical sessions include art, music, PE, and language instruction (Arabic or Spanish). Outdoor breaks provide time for play and social interaction.
After School
Optional co-curricular activities run Monday-Wednesday, offering students opportunities to explore interests in sports, arts, clubs, and service projects.
