Northview International School Welcome Dr. David Snyder as New School Principal

Dr David Snyder Principal

Northview International School is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. David Snyder as Whole-School Principal. Dr. Snyder joins the Northview community with more than 15 years of senior leadership experience across international schools in the United States, China, Morocco, Myanmar, and Uganda, bringing a wealth of global perspective and a heartfelt commitment to student well-being and academic excellence.

Dr. Snyder’s path to school leadership is as distinctive as it is inspiring. Before turning his attention to education, he built a career as a prize-winning trumpet player, performing widely and featuring on numerous radio broadcasts. He holds a Bachelor of Music from the Royal Academy of Music, a Master of Music from Yale University, a Doctor of Musical Arts from Stony Brook University, and a Master of Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University. The discipline, creativity, and appreciation for the arts that shaped his early career as a musician continue to inform his leadership of schools today.

Transitioning into education as a music teacher and university counselor, Dr. Snyder developed a strong commitment to nurturing the whole child and guiding students toward meaningful academic and life pathways. Over the past 15 years, he has served in roles including Principal, Vice Principal, and Head of School, building school cultures grounded in collaboration, strategic vision, and measurable outcomes.

Dr. Snyder is excited to be living and working in Qatar, a nation that values education, cultural diversity, and global citizenship. He looks forward to partnering with students, staff, and families to support every learner in reaching their fullest potential.
